About me

• Lisa Horowitz, CLU, ChFC, has had her own insurance practice for more than 35 years. As a highly experienced broker, she specializes in life insurance, long-term care, disability insurance, and employee benefit programs. In this capacity, she has worked with individuals and families to integrate their insurance needs with every area of life, including retirement, estate planning, building and maintaining small businesses, transfer of property after divorce, or life-altering illness. As a result, her expertise also extends to the management of long-term and end-of-life care, which includes the accumulation and liquidation of estates. In addition, she has experience in evaluating insurance needs when a life transition has occurred as well as navigating and recommending the various social service programs and services available.
  Lisa’s extensive professional and practical experience has given her a broad skillset suited to serving both traditional and nontraditional families. Her familiarity with difficult situations and formidable problem-solving skills makes her ideally suited to work on your behalf.
• Additionally, Lisa has spent years building a team of professionals whom she can rely on to provide specific expertise when working with her clients. As each individual, family or business is unique, Lisa has resources to tap into to address these specific needs. The team has worked successfully many times in obtaining hard to underwrite cases. Individuals that have significant medical history and/or unique business arrangements to put in place the insurance required. Lisa never takes no for an answer unless she has uncovered every possible opportunity to provide the coverage for her clients. This includes negotiating with underwriters, health care providers, attorneys and accountants. Clients that work with Lisa know that she is advocating for them, working for them and their families.
• Lisa has a vast wealth of experience and knowledge in understanding family dynamics and how they can influence planning for the future. She has been involved in discussions with business partners, lenders and management teams to evaluate risk and how best to protect the business entity and the involved parties. Finally, Lisa has had numerous opportunities to lecture and teach on the various topics in the insurance industry. She has taught fellow insurance professionals, and addressed numerous groups of the consumer population to educated and empower all to make the right decisions and choices regarding their insurance planning.
